Overview
The Music Department within the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Tampa seeks a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies. The primary responsibilities of this position are to conduct the Chamber Singers (UT’s premiere mixed, auditioned choir) and the select women’s choir Camerata. We seek a faculty member with a passion for teaching who will work to grow and maintain a high quality collegiate choral program, as well as participate in recruitment activities on and off campus. Additional responsibilities include teaching aural skills, choral conducting, and choral methods courses (depending on experience), as well as teaching general education courses such as Music Fundamentals and Music for Life (music appreciation) if necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in music
- At least one degree (or degree concentration) in choral conducting
- Demonstrated record of teaching experience at the college level
Preferred Qualifications
- DMA in choral conducting
- Evidence of and/or commitment to outreach and recruitment
- Demonstrated success leading a choral program
- Experience collaborating with colleagues in the instrumental and vocal programs
