Overview

We have an opportunity for a charismatic and talented Tyne and Wear-based professional musician to join our team to run choirs in or near Newcastle, Sunderland & Ponteland. This a rewarding position musically. We were the first contemporary choir in the UK and remain the most popular and high-profile. We have won three Guinness World Records, achieved two top-twenty albums, and been the subject of a three-part ITV1 documentary The Choir That Rocks.

As a Rock Choir Leader, you should possess fantastic piano and vocal skills with the ability to teach at the same time. You will be organised, reliable, charismatic, energetic and able to work both alone and as part of our world leading musical team. Full training is provided so you can apply even if you have not run a choir before.

The role of a Rock Choir Leader is versatile encompassing teaching, performing, leading, conducting, planning and administration. It is very fulfilling and rewarding but hard work! Choir rehearsals take place in term time evenings and mornings with events and performances taking place inside and outside that timetable. There are many opportunities for the Rock Choir Leaders to perform on TV, Radio and on stage at large pop-concerts including The London O2, Wembley Arena and The NEC Arena. There is a supportive and friendly HQ team who organise events, marketing, training, resources and create all the musical arrangements and resources you will need.

You also have the chance for career development in specialist areas once you are settled as a choir leader.
